How GLP-1 eligibility is assessed

These are the clinical guidelines providers use — not automatic disqualifiers. A provider always makes the final call.

BMI ≥ 30 — Primary pathway
Adults with a BMI of 30 or higher (obesity) meet the primary clinical threshold for GLP-1 weight loss treatment. This is the most common eligibility pathway used by licensed providers.
BMI 27–29.9 — Standard pathway
A BMI of 27 or higher is within the clinical eligibility range for compounded GLP-1 medications. Provider review determines appropriateness based on your full health profile.
Below BMI 27 — Provider discretion
If your BMI is below 27, standard clinical guidelines generally don't support GLP-1 for weight loss — but a licensed provider can still review your case. Eligibility is never automatic in either direction.
