Ondra Health is a telehealth platform that connects patients with independent, licensed healthcare providers for personalized GLP-1 weight management treatment. We offer compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide shipped directly from state-licensed 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies. Our approach is intentionally simple: transparent pricing and provider-led care based on your individual health profile.
Getting started is simple: complete a short health intake online. A licensed provider reviews your profile, typically within 24 hours. If you're a clinical fit, your provider issues a prescription and your medication ships directly to your door with free shipping, typically within 2 to 5 business days.
Ondra Health is available to adults 18 and older. We're licensed in all 50 states through our network of independent licensed providers. During your health intake, your provider reviews your medical profile to determine whether GLP-1 treatment is clinically appropriate for you.
Our providers aim to review and respond to your health intake within 24 hours. Once approved, your prescription is sent to our pharmacy partner and your medication typically ships within 2 to 5 business days.
If a provider determines that GLP-1 treatment isn't clinically appropriate for you, you won't be charged. Your provider may share the reason and, in some cases, suggest alternative next steps. Most patients do not need an in-person appointment to get started. Complete your health intake online; a licensed provider will review it and determine whether a phone or video visit is needed based on your location and care needs. If a visit is required, you'll be prompted during intake.
Ondra Health does not currently accept insurance. All plans are priced transparently and paid out-of-pocket.
Prescriptions & Treatment
Ondra Health does not prescribe medication. Ondra connects patients with independent, licensed healthcare providers. All medical evaluations, prescriptions, and treatment decisions are made exclusively by those providers based on your individual clinical assessment.
Ondra Health currently offers access to two compounded GLP-1 medications: semaglutide and tirzepatide. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, while tirzepatide is a dual GLP-1/GIP agonist. Your provider will evaluate which option is most appropriate based on your health profile.
GLP-1 medications are given by weekly subcutaneous (under-the-skin) self-injection. Common sites include the abdomen, outer thigh, or upper arm. Your shipment includes all supplies and dosing instructions from your pharmacy. Questions about injection technique? Your care team is available through the patient portal before your first dose.
mg measures medication, mL measures liquid, and mg/mL is concentration. Syringe units measure volume, so the same units can represent a different dose when concentration changes. Follow your current vial and syringe directions. Read the GLP-1 concentration guide. Ask your pharmacy or provider if unsure.
Treatment begins at a low starting dose that is gradually increased over time: a process called titration. This helps minimize side effects and lets your body adjust. Your provider manages and approves all dose adjustments; never change your dose without provider approval.
Treatment duration depends on your individual goals and progress. Many patients continue long-term with provider guidance, as GLP-1 medications are most effective as part of an ongoing wellness plan. Your provider will work with you to determine the right approach at each stage.
Some people may regain weight after stopping GLP-1 treatment, particularly if lifestyle habits aren't maintained. Individual responses vary. Your provider can help you plan a thoughtful transition if you're considering stopping.
The standard starting dose of compounded semaglutide is 0.25mg per week for the first 4 weeks, increasing gradually: typically every 4 weeks: up to a maximum of 2.5mg per week. For tirzepatide, the typical starting dose is 2.5mg per week, titrating up to 15mg per week. Your provider sets your personal schedule based on your health profile and how you respond to treatment.
If you miss a weekly dose and your next scheduled injection is more than 2 days away, take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If your next dose is within 2 days, skip the missed dose and resume your regular schedule. Never take two doses to make up for a missed one. Combining treatment with healthy eating and regular physical activity can meaningfully enhance your results. Your provider will offer personalized guidance on lifestyle changes that complement your plan.

Multi-month plans are paid upfront. Optio RX offers monthly and 2-month plans in all 50 states, but not Puerto Rico. Quarterly plans are available through other partners; 6- and 12-month plans only through Hallandale Pharmacy and Vials RX. No introductory rate applies.
A pending Ondra Health charge that appears after you place an order is a temporary authorization hold, not a completed charge. The hold confirms that your payment method is valid. Ondra Health finalizes the charge only after a licensed healthcare provider approves your treatment and writes your prescription. If you are not approved, the authorization hold is released. Your bank or card issuer determines how long it takes for the pending amount to disappear.
Yes. Ondra Health maintains flat pricing regardless of your dosage level. You won't pay more as your dose titrates up over time.
No hidden fees. Your plan price covers your provider consultation, medication, supplies, and shipping: no separate membership fees or bundled services you don't need.
Yes: free shipping is included with every order, shipped discreetly and directly to your door.
Along with standard credit and debit cards, Ondra Health offers flexible "buy now, pay later" payment options at checkout through Klarna, Affirm, and Afterpay. These let you split the cost of your plan into smaller installments over time instead of paying all at once. Availability, eligibility, and specific installment terms are determined by each payment provider during checkout.
You may cancel an order before the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. Once sent, that order cannot be canceled. If a provider has reviewed your intake and issued a prescription, a $25 nonrefundable consultation fee applies. Contact care@ondra.health immediately.
Every plan includes the same provider care and flat pricing across doses. Monthly billing offers flexibility; quarterly billing lowers the effective monthly rate. Optio RX offers a 2-month plan: $279 for semaglutide or $399 for tirzepatide, billed every 2 months, in all 50 states but not Puerto Rico. The 6- and 12-month plans are available only through Hallandale Pharmacy and Vials RX; 12-month rates are lowest at $96/month for semaglutide ($1,149/year) and $142/month for tirzepatide ($1,699/year). Optio RX offers both medications with B3 (Niacinamide), monthly and 2-month plans, and shipping to all 50 states but not Puerto Rico. Patients may request an eligible preferred pharmacy; availability depends on state, prescription, and inventory.
Yes. You can request a preferred partner available for your state, medication, and prescription. Formulations may be additive-free or include B12, Glycine, B6, or B3 (Niacinamide) at Optio RX. Hyalo Pharmacy, fulfilled through Quaker Community Pharmacy / New Life RX, currently fills tirzepatide only. Check availability on our pharmacy partners page before intake.
503A pharmacies compound medications based on individual patient prescriptions. 503B pharmacies are "outsourcing facilities" that produce larger batches under stricter FDA oversight. Both are licensed and regulated: which type is used depends on your state and prescription.
Ondra Health is available in all 50 U.S. states through both provider groups. Wasef Health, PC also serves eligible patients in Puerto Rico. Pharmacy availability varies. Hallandale Pharmacy does not ship to CA, KS, AR, MI, MN, AL, HI, MS, or MA; Boudreaux's New Drug Store does not ship to AR, CT, HI, NJ, MA, VA, or Puerto Rico; Southend Pharmacy does not ship to CA, AL, MA, NV, MI, IN, NC, SC, CT, NJ, AR, or Puerto Rico; and Drug Crafters Pharmacy does not ship to CA, AL, KY, LA, MD, MN, MS, NE, NV, OH, OR, or VA. Refrigerate your medication at 36°F to 46°F (2°C to 8°C) on arrival, away from direct light. Do not freeze it: if it has been frozen, do not use it and contact our care team. Once opened, follow the pharmacy label's storage instructions, as shelf life after first use varies by formulation. Keep out of reach of children and dispose of used needles in a sharps container.
Your shipment includes your prescribed medication labeled with dosing instructions, all injection supplies, alcohol pads, and discreet packaging.
Cold packs often melt in transit, which doesn't automatically mean your medication is unsafe. Refrigerate it as soon as your package arrives and follow the storage instructions on the label. If the medication feels warm, the packaging appears damaged, or you have any concern, contact our care team through the patient portal before using it.
Yes: injectable medications are permitted through TSA security in carry-on and checked baggage. You aren't required to declare them, but keeping your pharmacy label and a copy of your prescription handy is good practice. Liquid medications are exempt from the 3.4 oz rule. For international travel, requirements vary by country: check the destination's regulations and consult your provider first.
No. Compounded medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness. They are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies based on a valid prescription from a licensed provider. Formulations may differ from commercially manufactured drugs in strength, ingredients, or stability. All prescribing decisions are made solely at the discretion of your independent, licensed healthcare provider.
Safety & Side Effects
The most common side effects are gastrointestinal in nature: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach discomfort. In clinical trials of semaglutide, nausea was the most frequently reported side effect, affecting roughly 1 in 5 patients, and was generally mild to moderate. These effects typically improve over time as your body adjusts. Your provider will discuss potential side effects and monitor your progress throughout treatment.
Results vary based on your individual health profile, adherence to your treatment plan, and lifestyle factors. Clinical studies have observed meaningful weight loss with GLP-1 medications over time. About GLP-1 Medications
Not exactly. Ozempic® and Wegovy® are FDA-approved brand-name drugs containing semaglutide, manufactured by Novo Nordisk. What Ondra Health provides access to is compounded semaglutide: a version prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy based on a provider's prescription. The active ingredient is the same, but compounded formulations are not FDA-approved, may differ in strength or additives, and are not manufactured by the brand-name drug maker. Similarly, compounded tirzepatide shares its active ingredient with Mounjaro® and Zepbound®, but is not the same product. Your provider will help you understand which option is appropriate for your situation.
GLP-1s (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists) are medications that mimic a natural hormone involved in appetite regulation and blood sugar control. Clinical Research
STEP-1 (Wilding et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2021) was a 68-week randomized trial studying once-weekly semaglutide 2.4mg for weight management in adults without diabetes. Participants receiving semaglutide plus lifestyle intervention lost an average of about 15% of their body weight, compared with roughly 2.4% in the placebo group. These findings apply to the branded FDA-approved product studied (Wegovy®). Compounded semaglutide has not been studied in these trials, and individual results vary.
SURMOUNT-1 (Jastreboff et al., New England Journal of Medicine, 2022) was a 72-week randomized trial of tirzepatide for weight management in adults with obesity, without diabetes. Participants on the highest dose (15mg) lost an average of 20.9% of their body weight, compared with roughly 3% on placebo. These findings apply to the branded FDA-approved product studied (Zepbound®). Compounded tirzepatide has not been studied in these trials, and individual results vary.

You have ongoing access to your provider through secure messaging in your patient portal: ask questions, request dose adjustments, report side effects, and get support throughout treatment.
Cancel in your patient portal account settings or email care@ondra.health. For prepaid 6- or 12-month plans, any refund due is the amount paid minus the regular quarterly price in effect at purchase for each three-month supply sent to the pharmacy. Each supply counts in full, even if unused. No additional charge applies.
