How Ondra Works

Ondra Health is a telehealth platform that connects patients with independent, licensed healthcare providers for personalized GLP-1 weight management treatment. We offer compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide shipped directly from state-licensed 503A and 503B compounding pharmacies. Our approach is intentionally simple — transparent pricing, no unnecessary add-ons, and provider-led care based on your individual health profile.
Getting started is simple. Complete a short health intake online — it takes about 3 minutes and there are no appointments or waiting rooms. A licensed provider personally reviews your profile, typically within 24 hours. If you're a clinical fit for treatment, your provider issues a prescription and your medication ships directly to your door at no extra charge for shipping.
Ondra Health is available to adults 18 and older. We're licensed in all 50 states through our network of independent licensed providers. During your health intake, your provider reviews your medical profile to determine whether GLP-1 treatment is clinically appropriate for you.
Our providers aim to review and respond to your health intake within 24 hours. Once approved, your prescription is sent to our pharmacy partner and your medication typically ships within 2–5 business days.
If a provider determines that GLP-1 treatment isn't clinically appropriate for you, you will not be charged. Your provider may share the reason for their decision and, in some cases, suggest alternative next steps. All prescribing decisions are made solely at the provider's discretion based on your individual health profile. If you have questions about your evaluation, you can reach our care team through the contact page.
Ondra offers both monthly and quarterly plans. There are no hidden membership fees — the price you see covers your provider consultation, medication, and ongoing support. You can cancel at any time.
Ondra Health does not currently accept insurance. All plans are priced transparently and paid out-of-pocket. Many patients find our flat pricing more affordable than navigating insurance coverage for GLP-1 medications.

Prescriptions & Treatment

Ondra Health does not prescribe medication. Ondra is a platform that connects patients with independent, licensed healthcare providers. All medical evaluations, prescriptions, and treatment decisions are made exclusively by those providers based on your individual clinical assessment.
Ondra Health currently offers access to two compounded GLP-1 medications — semaglutide and tirzepatide. Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist, while tirzepatide is a dual GLP-1/GIP agonist. Your provider will evaluate which option is most appropriate based on your health profile.
GLP-1 medications are administered via weekly subcutaneous (under-the-skin) self-injection. Common injection sites include the abdomen, outer thigh, or upper arm. Your shipment will include all necessary supplies and detailed dosing instructions from your pharmacy.

If you've never self-injected before, Healthline's guide to subcutaneous injections is a reliable walkthrough of proper technique, site rotation, and what to expect. Your care team is also available through the patient portal if you have questions before your first dose.
Treatment begins at a low starting dose, which is gradually increased over time — a process called titration. This approach helps minimize side effects and allows your body to adjust. Your provider manages and approves all dose adjustments based on your progress and tolerance. You should never change your dose without provider approval.
Switching medications requires a new provider review and approval. To switch, you'll need to cancel your current plan and complete a new intake for the medication you'd like to try. Your provider will evaluate whether the new medication is clinically appropriate based on your current health profile. You can start a new intake at intake.ondra.health.
Treatment duration depends on your individual goals and progress. Many patients continue long-term with provider guidance, as GLP-1 medications are most effective as part of an ongoing wellness plan. Your provider will work with you to determine the right approach at each stage.
Some people may regain weight after stopping GLP-1 treatment, particularly if lifestyle habits aren't maintained. Individual responses vary. Your provider can help you plan a thoughtful transition and discuss options if you're considering stopping treatment.
Combining your treatment plan with healthy eating habits and regular physical activity can meaningfully enhance your results. Your provider will offer personalized guidance on lifestyle changes that complement your plan.

Pricing & Payments

Semaglutide plans start at $149/month (or $339 billed quarterly). Tirzepatide plans start at $219/month (or $549 billed quarterly). Pricing is the same at every dose — you won't pay more as your dosage increases.
Yes. Ondra Health maintains flat pricing regardless of your dosage level. You won't pay more as your dose titrates up over time. This is intentional — we believe predictable pricing matters when managing a long-term health journey.
No hidden fees. Your plan price covers your provider consultation, medication, supplies, and shipping. There are no separate membership fees or bundled services you don't need.
Yes — free shipping is included with every order. Your medication is shipped discreetly and directly to your door.
Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can pause or cancel your plan at any time through your patient portal account settings. For refund eligibility, please review our Refund Policy.

Pharmacy & Fulfillment

We partner exclusively with state-licensed 503A and 503B-registered compounding pharmacies. Our current pharmacy partners are Hallandale Pharmacy, Boudreaux's Compounding Pharmacy, Vials RX, Strive Pharmacy, BPI Labs, and Apothecary. The pharmacy fulfilling your prescription depends on your state of residence, formulation availability, and your selection during checkout.
Yes. You can select your preferred pharmacy during checkout from the options available in your state. Each pharmacy partner offers the same flat pricing, but formulations and additives vary — some include a B12/Glycine blend, Vitamin B6, or Glycine, while others are additive-free. You can check state availability directly on our treatments page before starting your intake.
503A pharmacies compound medications based on individual patient prescriptions. 503B pharmacies are "outsourcing facilities" that can produce larger batches and are subject to stricter FDA oversight. Both are licensed and regulated — the type of pharmacy used depends on your state and your specific prescription.
Ondra Health is available in all 50 states. Some pharmacy partners have state-specific restrictions — for example, Hallandale Pharmacy does not ship to CA, KS, AR, MI, MN, AL, HI, MS, or MA, and Boudreaux's does not ship to AR, CT, HI, or NJ. In those cases, you'll be shown which pharmacies are available for your state during checkout. You can also use the state checker on our treatments page to confirm availability before you start.
Your medication should be refrigerated at 36°F–46°F (2°C–8°C) upon arrival and kept away from direct light. Do not freeze it — if your medication has been frozen, do not use it and contact our care team. Once opened, follow the storage instructions on your pharmacy label, as shelf life after first use varies by formulation. Keep it out of reach of children and dispose of used needles safely in a sharps container.
Your shipment arrives with your prescribed medication clearly labeled with dosing instructions, all necessary injection supplies, alcohol disinfectant pads, and discreet packaging. Everything you need to begin is included.
Cold packs often melt during transit, but this doesn't automatically mean your medication is unsafe. As soon as your package arrives, refrigerate your medication and follow the storage instructions on the label. If the medication feels warm, the packaging appears damaged, or you have any concern, contact our care team before using it.
Early shipments may be possible depending on timing and pharmacy processing. Contact our care team through the patient portal well in advance of your trip to discuss your travel plans and available options.
Yes — injectable medications are permitted through TSA security in both carry-on and checked baggage. You are not required to declare them, but keeping your pharmacy label and a copy of your prescription accessible is a good practice. Liquid medications are exempt from the standard 3.4 oz rule. For international travel, requirements vary by country — check the destination country's regulations and consult your provider before traveling abroad with your medication. The TSA's official guidance on traveling with medication is a useful reference.
No. Compounded medications are not reviewed or approved by the FDA for safety or effectiveness. They are prepared by state-licensed compounding pharmacies based on a valid prescription from a licensed provider. Formulations may differ from commercially manufactured drugs in strength, ingredients, or stability. All prescribing decisions are made solely at the discretion of your independent, licensed healthcare provider.

Safety & Side Effects

The most common side effects are gastrointestinal in nature — nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, and stomach discomfort. These are typically mild and often improve over time as your body adjusts to treatment, especially with gradual dose titration. Your provider will discuss potential side effects during your consultation and monitor your progress throughout treatment.
Results vary based on your individual health profile, adherence to your treatment plan, and lifestyle factors. Clinical studies have observed meaningful weight loss with GLP-1 medications over time. Your provider will discuss realistic expectations during your consultation — individual results are not guaranteed.
GLP-1 medications may not be appropriate for everyone. Your provider will review your full medical history during the intake process. Common contraindications include a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer or MEN2 syndrome, certain gastrointestinal conditions, and pregnancy. Your provider makes all eligibility decisions based on clinical evaluation.

About GLP-1 Medications

Not exactly. Ozempic® and Wegovy® are FDA-approved brand-name drugs containing semaglutide, manufactured by Novo Nordisk. What Ondra Health provides access to is compounded semaglutide — a version prepared by a licensed compounding pharmacy based on a provider's prescription. The active ingredient is the same, but compounded formulations are not FDA-approved, may differ in strength or additives, and are not manufactured by the brand-name drug maker. Similarly, compounded tirzepatide shares its active ingredient with Mounjaro® and Zepbound®, but is not the same product. Your provider will help you understand which option is appropriate for your situation.
GLP-1s (glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists) are medications that mimic a natural hormone involved in appetite regulation and blood sugar control. They may help you feel fuller longer, slow digestion, and reduce overall appetite — which supports weight management for many people when used alongside provider guidance and healthy lifestyle habits.
Semaglutide acts on one hormone pathway (GLP-1), which influences appetite, digestion, and blood sugar regulation. Tirzepatide is a dual agonist that targets both the GLP-1 and GIP hormone pathways. By acting on both, tirzepatide may work differently — and for some patients more effectively. Your provider will help determine which medication is the right fit for you.
Compounded medications are custom-formulated treatments prepared by licensed pharmacists for individual patients when a licensed provider determines they are clinically appropriate. Unlike mass-manufactured drugs such as Ozempic® or Wegovy®, compounded formulations are not FDA-approved and may differ in strength, ingredients, or stability. They are prescribed at the discretion of an independent, licensed healthcare provider.
Depending on the pharmacy you select, your formulation may include supportive additives such as a B12/Glycine blend, Vitamin B6, or Glycine. Some formulations are available without additives for patients who prefer or require a simpler compound. You can review which additives each pharmacy includes on our treatments page before starting your intake.
